Day 1.5...

Early start today; on the bus by 06:30. A safety meeting at the site entrance and then off to the office for orientation. Spent the first half of the day learning to drive the rock trucks; Bouncy... As... Fuck... Not too hard though. Sent back to the hotel mid shift to get gsome rest and get ready for the nightshaft. Presently taking lunch after being cut loose to do a few runs all by myself. It is confusing out here at night... Sure glad I got an idea of the layout in daylight. Tomorrows plan of attack? Get gumboots!!! It is thick and deep out here!!! Also pick up some groceries now that I have a room with a fridge!
